Evelyn Waid

Evelyn Doris Waid, 88, of Kingston passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Starcrest of Cartersville. Born July 16, 1922 she was the daughter of the late LeRoy Waid and the late Loraine Cawthon Waid. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jean Moore; and her brothers, Roy Waid, James Waid, Jack Waid, and Marvin Waid. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.



Survivors include her sisters and brother-in-law, Ethel Bates, and Evalie and George McGuire; her niece, Ruthann Rogers; and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, May 9, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Georgia Memorial in Marietta.



The family will receive friends from 9:00 am to the funeral hour on Monday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.



Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Armstrong, Jim Benefield, Elvis Rush, Marty McGuire, Tony McGuire, and Greg McGuire. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home by 10:15 am on Monday.
