Fay Brown

June 23, 1925 — June 29, 2007

Fay S. Brown, 82, of 30 Ember Way, Cartersville, died on Friday, June 29, 2007 at Cartersville Medical Center. She was born in Polk County on June 23, 1925 to the
late Levi Sloman and Mable Morris Sloman. She retired from Goodyear after 25
years of service. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charlie Brown,
three sisters and one brother.

Fay was a great mother, grandmother and wife. She loved her family, flowers, gardening and birds. She enjoyed walking and won several marathons and half marathons in Hawaii, Alaska and Washington State. She was a volunteer for the Cartersville Police Department and was a pink lady at Cartersville Medical Center, where she won volunteer of the year. She also won the Frist Humanitarian award in 2000. She was a member
Of Victory Temple Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School.

Survivors include two daughters, June Crowder of Cartersville; Joan Yeates of Vancouver, Washington; one son, Mike Brown of Woodstock, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 1st at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Dial officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
