Faye Knight passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025 after a two year extended illness with family by her side. She was born October 21, 1949 in Rome, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert & Adell Jones, her siblings- Albert Jones, Judith Otting, and Donny Jones, and grandson Phillip Allen.
Known to her family as Moma, MeMaw, and Memommy; she has left an empty space in each’s heart. She is survived by her children Lisa Bohanan (Scott), Robert Copeland Jr., and Wendy Allen (Mike); Grandchildren, Tyler Bohanan (Kaitlyn), Courtney Rediger, and Kacey Strickland (Randall), Great Granddaughter Brooklynn Allen. She is also survived by her husband of 36 years, William Knight, his children Terry Knight (Margaret), Debbie Daniel (Jeff), their children and grandchildren.
Faye was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church in Kingston, GA. Faye attended East Rome High School. During her life she worked at Krystal in Rome, Integrated Carpet in Rome, and Wal-Mart in Cartersville for 20+ years where she was fondly known as “the candy lady”. Faye was an excellent cook and enjoyed making meals for all her family to gather; especially Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas making some of the best dressing and gravy you could taste. During the summer, it wasn’t uncommon for her to can many vegetables for the coming winter among them her delicious vegetable soup blend.
In her earlier years, Faye enjoyed dancing and traveling with her cousin and good friends for fun getaways. Later, she and her husband took many camping and long adventure trips out west and many trips to the mountains where she especially enjoyed country concerts. Even until her last few days; Faye was singing some Conway and Loretta. Faye’s children will forever benefit from the values she instilled in them to persevere even in the midst of struggles and to know that hard work would serve them and others well.
A visitation will be held at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, located at 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120, on Monday December 15, 2025, from 12-1:30pm. A celebration of Life Service will follow at the same location beginning at 2:00 pm. Intermittent will follow at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 1689 Euharlee Road, Kingston, GA 30145. Pallbearers are Scott Bohanan, Tyler Bohanan, Mike Allen, and Randall Strickland. Honorary Pallbearers are the men from Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
