Ferris Looney

Mrs. Farris K. Looney, age 78, of 3344 Alabama Road, Rome, Georgia, died Monday, November 29th, 2004 at her home in Deland, Florida following a lengthy illness.A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Looney was born March 20, 1926, the daughter of the late C.W. and Elizabeth Freeman. She lived most of her life in West Rome, where she was a loving hour wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Elmer, John and Frank Freeman, sisters, Mrs. Thurma Gardner, Mrs. Mary Mutton and Mrs. Lilla Mae Peters.Mrs. Looney is survived by her husband, Charles Lee Looney; three sons, Charles Lee Looney, Jr. of Deland , Florida, Larry Looney of Rome, Georgia and Tim Looney of Memphis, Tennessee; three granddaughters, Maureen Looney of Deland, Florida, Sarah Looney of Port Orange, Florida and Lindsay Looney of Marietta, Georgia; two sisters, Annette Clary of Rome, Georgia and Willia Gransline of Springfield, Ohio. Funeral services for Mrs. Looney will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 4th at the Oaknoll Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Russell officiating.
