Florence "Flo" Rose Lundee (Czelusta), 84, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on June 28, 2023, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her husband and daughters.
Florence was born June 8, 1939 in Lockport, New York, the daughter of Sylvester Czelusta and Celia Czelusta (Jezierski). Florence married Gordon Lundee on July 5, 1958 in Barker, New York. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary next month.
Florence was an active member of The Magnolia Garden Club and helped orchestrate the Annual Pond and Garden Tour. She was a devout Christian woman who spent most of her life involved in the Catholic church. Florence attended and volunteered at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church- Cartersville.
Florence was such a kind and giving person. She loved talking to people and always had a smile on her face. Florence had a keen eye for interior design with classic and timeless taste. She was always a perfect hostess, welcoming anyone and everyone into her beautiful home. Some of her favorite pastimes included antiquing, playing Rummikub with her family, tending to and enjoying her immaculate garden and pond, and traveling the world.
Remaining to cherish Florence's memory are her beloved husband, Gordon Lundee; daughter, Kim Lundee, and son-in-law, John Betley; daughter, Tracy Lundee, and son-in-law, Christopher Armer; granddaughters, Brittany (Corey) Nguyen (Cooter) and Jaclyn (Kevin) Petronis (Cooter); great-grandchildren, Emma, Dylan and Kendall; sister, Marie Morrison (Czelusta); brother, Paul Czeulsta, and sister-in-law, Pam Czelusta; sister-in-law "special sister", Shirley Czelusta.
Preceding Florence in death are her father, Sylvester Czelusta; mother, Celia Surdel; stepfather, Walter Surdel; brother, Sylvester "Sonny" Czelusta.
"God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be. So He wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, "come to me". You didn't deserve what you went through. So He gave you rest. God's garden must be beautiful. He only takes the best."
