Florence Proctor

Mrs. Florence Evelyn Couch Proctor, 70, wife of Doyle Proctor, died on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at her residence. She was a native of Bartow County, born September 5, 1947 and was the daughter of the late J.T. Couch, Sr. and Tinnie Marie Byars Couch.

Florence was a member of The Church at Liberty Square and was a homemaker. She was a woman of faith and a wonderful mother and a loving wife. She was generous with herself and time and loved spending time with her family. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Vernon Couch, Edward Couch, James T. Couch, Jr. and Ricky Couch; her sister, Marie Tapley; and her niece, Pam Couch.

Survivors include her husband, Doyle Proctor; her daughter, Tammy Proctor; her siblings, Virginia Couch, Mary Owens (Allen), Eunice Byars, Virgil Couch, Clyde Couch (Melba) and Ernest Couch (Rose); along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2018 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Jacob King and The Reverend Allen Owens officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Steve Couch, Tim Couch, Shannon Tapley, Jody Collins, Tim Daniels and Troy McElroy will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any member of the family to help defray medical costs.
