Frances Lipscomb, 82, of Jonesboro died Sunday, January 3, 2010. Born October 8, 1927 in Cartersville, she was the daughter of the late James Oscar Mauldin and the late Estelle Reed Mauldin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Lipscomb; son, Ronny Lipscomb; brothers, Clarence Mauldin, and John Wesley Mauldin; sisters, Hazel Mauldin, Annie Ruth Singley, Rilda Kilby, and Willie Maude Wigington.
Frances was a homemaker. She enjoyed sitting on the porch, watching television, and talking and visiting with neighbors.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Buford and Ann Lipscomb of Pensacola, Florida and Bill and Connie Lipscomb of Stockbridge; daughters, Lynn Jenkins and Donna Barker, both of Jonesboro; brothers, Max Mauldin of Emerson, Tiny Mauldin of Adairsville, and Wayne Mauldin of Cartersville; thirteen grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Jack Dial officiating. Burial will follow in Woffords Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9 � 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
