Frances Marshall

Frances J. Marshall, age 83, died Monday, December 14, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.



Mrs. Marshall had recently moved to Oxford from Waleska, GA. She was skilled in various types of needlework especially making quilts. Known for her kind disposition and wry wit, Mrs. Marshall had worked in retail until age 80. She enjoyed all types of fishing including surf fishing and pond fishing. Mrs. Marshall was a founding member of Lake Arrowhead Chapel in Waleska, GA. She loved, and was loved by, her family.



Visitation will be held Saturday, December 19, 2009, 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Oaknoll Chapel Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Rome, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 19, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. there in the chapel with Pastor Jerry Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens in Rome, GA. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.



Survivors include one daughter, Joe Ann Marshall Allen of Oxford, MS; two sons, Stephen C. Marshall of Calhoun, GA and Anthony L. �Tony� Marshall of Stone Mountain, GA; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.



Her husband, Leo C. Marshall, preceded Mrs. Marshall in death.



Pallbearers are Jeffrey Allen, Sean Allen, Tony Marshall, Bill Gooch, Rick Marshall, Michael Webb with Stephen Marshall and Evan Allen serving as honorary pallbearers.



Memorials may be made to the charity of the giver�s choice.
