Francis Campbell

May 8, 1929 — August 21, 2008

Mrs. Francis Arthonia Campbell, age 79 of 40 E. Camelia Road, Rome died Thursday evening at her residence.



Mrs. Campbell was born May 8, 1929 daughter of the late Oliver Moss and

Jessie Kilby Moss. She had spent most of her life in Rome having moved here at the

age of 15. Mrs. Campbell was a nurse having worked at Floyd Medical Center, a

private nurse and having retired from Redmond Hospital. She was a member of

New Antioch Baptist Church for over 50 years. Mrs. Campbell loved gardening and

also cutting her grass but most of all she loved her family and having her grandchildren

to love and enjoy. She was preceded in death by her brothers, A.Q. Moss and Lavane Moss.



Survivors include her husband, Roy �Dumpy� Campbell; son Rickey (Rebecca) Davis of Armuchee; daughters, Dawn May (Jody) of Rome and Donna Seckinger (Danny) of Carrollton, Ga. Grandchildren, Jenna Thompson of Rome, Chris Seckinger of Villa Rica, Ga and Bonnie Helton of Carrollton; 7 great grandchildren also survive.



Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 24, 2008 at 2 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Cargle officiating. Interment will follow in the East View Cemetery with Rev. Larry Hibbert.



The family will receive friends Sunday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the

Jennings Funeral Home.



Pallbearers are asked to meet Sunday at the funeral home and include the following gentlemen: Ronnie Campbell, Mack Campbell, Chris Seckinger, Lee VanHouten, Ray Billy Bishop and Fergi Haughton.
