Franklin �Frank� Folsom, 76, of White, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center. Born in Guntersville, Alabama on April 7, 1934 he was preceded in death by his parents.
Frank was a retired veteran of the United States Army having served in Korea and Vietnam. He had been awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal with 3 silver service stars, Korean Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon, and the Sharpshooter Badge.
Most recently Frank was employed as a recruiter with All American Express until his death. He enjoyed listening to gospel music and watching The Gaither Gospel Hour on television any chance he could.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Lisa Tomberlin Folsom; his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Debbie Folsom of Elkton, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Elissa Suzanne Williams and her husband, David, and Michael Whitworth Folsom; his great-grandson, Peyton Conner Folsom; and his twin brother and his wife, Delano and Lou Folsom of Columbia, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Ricky Williams. Burial will follow in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with full military honors.
