Fred Haney

Mr. Fred J. Haney, 91, of Cartersville, died Monday, December 07, 2015 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Centre, Alabama on October 7, 1924, he was the son of the late James Haney and Cora Matthews Haney.
Mr. Haney was a member and Deacon of The Church of God of Gospel Assembly and was a master Barber. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Roy Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Haney; his children, Jan Wade and her husband, Sammy, Cecil Haney, Jerrie Edward and her husband, Michael, Sue Johnson, Myrtle Dayton and her husband, Hugh, Jonnie Butler and husband, Danny Tanner and his wife, Theresa Tanner; his sister, Naomi Worsham ; twenty grandchildren; along with his favorite pet, Freckles.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2015 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Minister Michael Edwards in charge of the prayer. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Cassville Cemetery.
