Mr. Fred Smith, 71, of Cartersville passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Heartland Hospice House. Born March 20, 1937 in Floyd County, he was the son of the late William Henry Shaw and the late Ader Smith. Mr. Smith was a retired tree trimmer and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Luther and Violet Shaw; and his sisters and brothers-in-law, Maryland and James Ellis, Judy and Johnny Escamilla, and Tonya Shaw.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2008 in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville is in charge of the arrangements.
