Fredrick Wayne Warren, 53, of Cartersville passed away on Saturday March 9, 2013 at his residence.
Born August 6, 1959 in Olathe, Kansas he was the son of Robert W. Warren and the late Kathryn L. Wymore Warren. Fred was a 1977 graduate of Southern High School in Wymore, Nebraska. As a military dependent and later an Army soldier, Fred lived in Kansas, Massachusetts, Illinois, Nevada, Virginia, Texas and Panama. He later went on to work in the planning department of Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Georgia for twenty-five years. On February 6, 1989 Fred married the love of his life, Ann "Annie B" Turner. He had many hobbies such as crossword puzzles, making balsa airplanes, storytelling, playing the harmonica and woodworking, which included providing rocking horses for special little ones born into his family circle. Fred also had many loves; he loved his family, enjoyed keeping up with his siblings, Annie B's Italian sausage lasagna, brownstone cake, shooting the breeze with anyone and was devoted to his dogs, Bridget and Phreckles. He had fond memories of Boy Scouting and enjoyed working at the family business Bob's Service; he loved meeting and greeting customers and keeping friendly banter going while he washed their windows.
Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara "Annie B." Warren of Cartersville; his father, Robert W. Warren (Millie) of Wymore, Nebraska; his brothers, Robert Warren (Graciela) of Round Hill, Virginia, Gerald Warren (Carrie) of Dunnellon, Florida and Dan Warren (Karen) of Lehigh Acres, Florida; his sisters, Deborah Cupp (Lynn) of Smithfield, Virginia, Susan Guthrie (Joe) of Wichita, Kansas and Dawn Carsey (Tom) of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; his step-children, Rae Jackson of Marietta, Georgia, Ellen Wood (Jackson) of White, Georgia, Theresa Lively (Jackson) of Mableton, Georgia and Deborah Reeves (Jackson) of Marietta, Georgia; and his eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with a private interment following. The Reverend Dale Wood will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
