Gale Sanders

Mrs. Gale Elaine Sanders 65, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Winthrop Court Assisted Living. Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, on November 4, 1949 she was the daughter of Juanita Flowers Pollard and the late George Pollard.
Mrs. Sanders was a Godly woman who loved the Lord. She enjoyed singing and listening to Gospel Music. She always had a kind word to say and told everybody she met "I love you. Mrs. Sanders was genuinely interested in other people and enjoyed traveling, especially going to Myrtle Beach, and art. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Pollard.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. George D. Sanders of Rome; her children, Charlie Brown (Katie) and Matthew Brown (April) all of Canton; her mother, Nita Pollard of Canton; her grandchildren, Haley Bobo (Spencer), Harley Brown and Levi Brown all of Canton; her brothers, David Pollard of Marietta and Mike Pollard of Canton; along with several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Georgia National Cemetery with Pastor Ken May officiating.
