Gay Nell Pool

Mrs. Gay Nell Jones Pool, 74, of Cartersville, went home on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at her residence. She was born March 30, 1940 in Bartow County and was the daughter of the late Walton Jones and Beulah Smalley Jones.
Gay Nell was retired from Goodyear with 20 years of service and was a member of The Church at Liberty Square. She was a social person, generous with her resources and never met a stranger. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn Gore and The Reverend Ronald Gore of Cartersville; her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Carolyn Pool of Cartersville; one grandson, Zachary Pool of Dallas; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2014 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Dr. Joe E. Edwards, Reverend Ronald Gore and Mr. Parnick Jennings officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rob Gore, Ron Gore, Zachary Pool, Shaun Blackmon, Jonathan Blackmon, and Brian Pool.
