Gene Kendrick

Mr. Thomas E. "Gene" Kendrick, 77, of 35 Opal Street, White died Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born May 23, 1930 in Bartow County, he was the son of the late Tommy E. Kendrick and Mattie I. Huskins Kendrick. Mr. Kendrick had been employed by Dan River, loved to fish, and was a member of Stamp Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jimmy Kendrick; and his half-brother, James Kendrick.

Survivors include his children, Jennie Sue Gravley, Gregory Stevens Kendrick and Roger Allen Kendrick, all of Cartersville; his sisters, Evie Drawdy and Martha Evelyn Hyatt, both of White; his brother, Harry Amos Kendrick of Covington; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007 at the White Cemetery with Rev. Larry Huskins and Rev. Richard Huskins officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be: Otis William Drawdy, Ricky Heath, Harvey Heath, Johnnie Kendrick, Timmy Huskins, and Ricky Bartley. Pallbearers are requested to be at the funeral home by 1:15 p.m. Saturday.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 9 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2007 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Canaan Land Christian Church, 430 Tow Chapel Road, Adairsville, GA 30l03.
