Geneva Blackmon

Mrs. Geneva H. Blackmon, 76, of Calhoun passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Gordon Hospital. She was born, March 19, 1935 in Summerville and was the daughter of the late Sam Hunter and the late Azore Mason Hunter. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.R. Blackmon; two daughters, Mary Jane and Debra Blackmon; three grandsons, Hank Blackmon, James Ray Lee and Sonny James Hilliard; and one granddaughter, Lillie Michelle Lee.

Mrs. Blackmon was a member of the First Born Church of God and a member of the Kingston Women�s Club. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She enjoyed sewing, singing, shopping and going to yard sales.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Ray and Brenda Blackmon of Kingston, Sonny James and Betty Blackmon of White; her daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Ann and Kenny Hilliard of Adairsville, Darlene and Clifford Ensley of Calhoun, Lillie Lee of Kingston, Mary Charlotte and Arthur Alanso of Cartersville and Wanda Blackmon of Austell; fourteen grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; her sisters, Roxy Jane and Mildred Edgeworth of Summerville; and her brothers, Fred and Horace Hunter.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Kingston Cemetery with the Reverend Junior Evans officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 � 12 Saturday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
