Gerald Eugene Barron, 59 of Cartersville, was welcomed home on July 31, 2025. He was born on
March 12, 1966, in Cartersville to the late Earl Eugene Barron Jr. and Linda S. Boyd Barron. In
addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Jeanette Worley and his
brother, James Thomas Barron.
Eugene was a member of Gates of Praise Church. He cherished the simple pleasures in life; spending quiet mornings and peaceful evenings fishing at the lake, or by the creeks and ponds he loved. He never passed up a good meal, especially when dessert was involved, and he had a fondness for playing the local "ding-dings". Most of all, he enjoyed the company of his friends and family, often just hanging out and sharing time together.
Though he was hard of hearing and sometimes came across with a gruff exterior, those who truly knew Eugene understood the kind, gentle, and deeply loving heart that lay beneath.
He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his mother, Linda S. Barron (Boyd); his children, David Justin Barron and wife
Daryelin, and Christopher Gene Barron and wife Yemi; stepchildren, Josh McQuirk and Christy
