Gerald Hillhouse, 74, of Cartersville passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Atlanta VA Medical Center.
Born on September 20, 1945 in Cartersville he was the son of the late Howard Hillhouse and the late Lula Flowers Hillhouse. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Arnold; and his granddaughter, Taylor Gallegos.
Gerald served his country in the United States Army and later went on to retire from Glad Manufacturing. He was a member of Atco Baptist Church and loved Jesus with all his heart. Gerald made quick decisions that were always in the best interest of his family. His children were his world and he was a hero to his entire family.
Survivors include his children, Vickie Gallegos (Manuel), Tammy Woods (David), Jerry Hillhouse, Sr. (Angie), Judy Harrelson (Jack); fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; his brother, Larry Hillhouse (Donna); his sister, Linda Sutton (Steve); his son-in-law, Mark Arnold; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2020 with Reverend John Lemmings officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jerry Hillhouse, Jr., Sammy Hillhouse, Cody Gallegos, Skyler Gallegos, Jade Arnold, Allen Woods, and Josh Woods.
