Geraldine Head

Geraldine Head, 78, of Cartersville died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born April 20, 1931 in Cartersville, she was the daughter of the late Lema Mulkey Ellis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, A.C. �Tic� Head; her aunt, Ola Mulkey Chester; her uncles, Wilson Mulkey and J.T. Mulkey; and her grandparents, J. Thad and Rosa Mulkey.



Geraldine retired from Lockheed in Marietta after thirty-three years as a machinist. She and A.C. enjoyed shopping and were active members of the American Legion Post, the VFW Post, and the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include her caregivers, Eileen Stephenson and Alison Baxter; her brother-in-law, James �Pete� Head; her nephews, Randy Head and Gary Head; and her Autumn Years family.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Don Hazel officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 1 � 2 p.m. Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
