Giles Gibson

Giles Cranford Gibson, age 32, of 6 East Lakeshore Drive, Rome, GA, died Friday, August 1, 2008, in a local hospital.



Giles was born in Floyd County, GA, on November 4, 1975, the son of Ron and Margaret Gibson. He had a tremendous love for music and people. Giles will be missed by all who cared for him.



In addition to his parents Giles is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Cliff and Michelle Gibson; a sister, Andrea Gibson; nephew, Michael Gibson; and a niece, Maddox Gibson. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.



Funeral services will be held Monday, August 4, 2008, at 3:00 P.M. at Second Avenue United Methodist Church with Dr. Paul Gamber officiating. Interment will follow in the Floyd Memory Gardens.



The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 P.M. until the funeral hour at the Second Avenue United Methodist Church.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet at Second Avenue United Methodist Church on Monday by 2:30 P.M.: Scottie Edwards, Randy Embree, Danny Fricks, and Raymond Morales.



Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Second Avenue United Methodist Church, 801 East Second Avenue SW, Rome, GA 30161.
