Mrs. Ida "Ginger" Brown, 49, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 in Marietta. Born in Moorehead City, NC on December 1, 1964, she was the daughter of Marie Grantham and the late Franklin Grantham.
Ginger was a loving wife and enjoyed taking care of her husband. She loved to read and work in the yard. Ginger was the office manager of The Toy Shop in Marietta for the last nine years. She was also a loving mother to her dog, Maggie. She is preceded in death by her father, Franklin Grantham.
Survivors include her husband of twenty five years, David Brown of Roswell; her mother, Marie Grantham of New Port, NC; her sister, Brenda Grantham of New Port, NC; her brother, Frankie Grantham of New Port, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Reverend Joe Nix officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
