It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gladys Raye Hutson, who passed peacefully at her home on March 19, 2026, at the age of eighty-seven.

2 Corinthians 5:8

“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”

Gladys Raye (Bell) Hutson was born on August 1, 1938, in Copperhill, Tennessee, to Walter and Ada Bell. She lived a long and meaningful life, marked by quiet strength, compassion, and grace. She was a woman who valued family above all else and found her greatest joy in those she loved.

She is survived by her five children: Dale (Carolyn) Hutson, Anne Hutson Czobat, Roger (Tonia) Hutson, Richard Keith Hutson and Dana Hutson Norrell. She is also survived by her sister, Norma Jean Brackett. In addition, she leaves behind fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, each of whom carries forward her legacy of love.

Gladys will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her wisdom and faith, and the kindness she shared so freely. She brought comfort, warmth, and steady love to those around her, and her memory will remain a lasting blessing.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
