Gladys Morgan

Mrs. Gladys Marie Morgan, 74, of Florida, passed away, Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Hamrick House Hopice of Okeechobee, Florida following an extended illness. Born in Marietta, Georgia, August 11, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Robert Milford Banks and the late Bettie Arnold Banks. Preceding her in death along with her parents are her husband, Troy Lee Morgan; her daughters, Judy M. Morgan Goss, Trudy A. Morgan Heath; her grandson, William Thomas Goss; her sister, Mary E. Silvers; and her brothers, J.D. Banks, Raymond A. Banks and Harold M. Banks.



Survivors include her sons, Jimmy L. Morgan, Sr. and Ricky Morgan of Cartersville; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Calvin Parlier of Hiram; and her brother and sister-in-law, Tommy W., Sr. and Betty Banks of Douglasville.



Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Sunset Memory Gardens with Rev. Jody Cagle presiding. Interment will follow.



Pallbearers are asked to meet at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and will include: Jimmy Morgan, Jr., Joseph and Marcus Parlier, Richard, Steve, Robert and Wesley Banks and Jason Leonard.



The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
