Glen Groff

Mr. Glen Groff, 70, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Kindred Specialty Hospital in Rome.
Born January 12, 1943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he was a son of the late George Glen Groff and the late Ruth Holden Groff. Mr. Groff was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from the Mayo Clinic. He was of the First Christian Faith and was a member of the American Legion; he enjoyed wood working, travel, cooking, and kayaking. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Ruth Groff.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Linda Groff; daughter, Ronda Sullivan of Acworth; his brother, Charles Groff of Sapula, Oklahoma; and granddaughters, Elizabeth Uitdenhowen of Jacksonville, FL, and Rebecca Sullivan of Acworth.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Joe Nix officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to The American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway SE #1, Marietta, Ga. 30067 or The American Cancer Society, 2970 Clairmount Road NE, Atlanta, Ga. 30329 in memory of Mr. Groff.
