Glois Beck

Mrs. Glois J. Beck, age 81, of 4806 Old Calhoun Road, Rome, GA died Monday, October 3, 2005, at her residence.Mrs. Beck was born in Carroll County, GA on August 30, 1924, the daughter of the late Earnest and Leona Horsley Braswell. She was a member of Consolation Baptist Church since 1937 and was a homemaker. She loved her grandchildren, collecting baby dolls, and liked flowers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beck is preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Beck; a daughter, Sherry Beck; three sisters, Frances Griffis, Susie Thompson, and Betty Braswell, and a brother, Lawrence Braswell.Mrs. Beck is survived by one son, Larry Beck of Rome, GA; four grandchildren, Barry Holbert of Calhoun, GA, Lennie Holbert of Plainville, GA, Russell Holbert of Dallas, TX, and Frankie Beck of Rome, GA; 10 great grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, Mrylin and Louise Braswell of Carrollton, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 6, 2005, at 2:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Powers and Rev. Bobby Whittington officiating.
