Gloria Hose

Mrs. Gloria Ann Harris Hose, age 76, of 298 Hiram Road, Rome, GA, died Saturday, November 18, 2006, at her residence.Mrs. Hose was born in Fulton County, GA on September 16, 1930, the daughter of the late Wiley Roe Harris and Velma White Hughes. She graduated from Crawford Long Nursing School and was a member of the Homemaker's Club. Mrs. Hose spent several years as a nurse for South Fulton Hospital in the Labor and Delivery, Dr. Proctor's Chiropractor office, and Dr. Flowers Optometrist Office. She enjoyed reading and arts and crafts. In addition to her parents Mrs. Hose is preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Northrop Hose, Jr. on July 20, 2000.Mrs. Hose is survived by two daughters, Rev. Dianna Horton of Weyers Cave, VA and Jamie Howerton and her husband, Robert of Rome, GA; seven grandchildren and their spouses, James and Donna Horton, Tracie and Shane Jackson, Jonathan Horton, Tammy and John Turner, Karen and Michael Camp, Bobby Howerton, and Robin Howerton; and ten great-grandchildren, Josh Oliver, Katie Oliver, C.J. Jackson, Austin Camp, Kaitlin Horton, Nicholas Jackson, Alexis Jackson, Caleb Horton, Hope Horton, and Parker Horton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2006, at 2:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Hose will remain in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and at other hours may be contacted at 362 Hiram Road, Rome, GA.The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home by 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday: Jonathan Horton, James Horton, Robert Howerton, Bobby Howerton, Jr., Shane Jackson, and Chris Wallace.
