Grace Dover, 68, of Cartersville, died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Cartersville Medical Center. She was born in Bartow County on July 2, 1941 and was the daughter of the late Dewey Ray and the late Gladys Parris Ray. Grace was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church and enjoyed being with her grandchildren, going to flea markets, NASCAR and watching wrestling. Preceding her in death are her parents; her sisters, Dimple Ray and Mary Bagley; and her brother Bradley Ray.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Pam Hoffman of Cartersville, Charmon and Bill Edens of Cartersville; her son, Greg Dover of Cartersville; her brother, J.L. Ray of Cartersville; her sister, Helen Crowe of Cassville; her grandchildren, Joy Day, Chris Day, Hannah Day, Sierra Crowe, Jessica Bryant, Erica Dover, Tiffany McElrath, Brianna Dover and Hayley Edens; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 2009 at White Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in White Fellowship Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Gossett, Jeff Blalock, Jeff Williams, Eddie Dowdy, Josh Mullinax, and Brian (Tiny) Hufstetler. Ronald, Lynn and Lamar Abernathy will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family received friends on Saturday from 6 � 9 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
