Dr. Grover Brown, 77, of Cartersville, passed away Tuesday, October 01, 2013 at his residence. Born January 27, 1936 in Augusta, Georgia, he was the son of the late Willis Dene Brown and the late Marie Green Brown.
Dr. Brown was a 1960 graduate of the University of Georgia and a 1964 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia. He was a resident of Cartersville for forty two years and a practicing physician for thirty two of those years before retiring in 1998. He was very active and enjoyed driving motorcycles, convertible sports cars, playing golf and the mountains and life at Big Canoe.
Survivors include his wife of fifty eight years, Virginia Middleton Brown of Cartersville; his daughters, Connie Brown Lide of Atlanta and Susan Brown Richardson of Kennesaw; his sons, Grover James "Jimmy" Brown, Jr. and Stephen Dwayne Brown both of Cartersville; along with ten grandchildren.
A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway SE #1, Marietta, Georgia 30067.
