H Wheat

Mr. H. L. Wheat, Jr., 61, of Kingston, died Sunday, August 3, 2008. He was born, June 17, 1947, in Dalton, Georgia, son of the late H. L. Wheat and the late Myrtle Wade Wheat.



Mr. Wheat had resided in the Kingston area for most of his life, loved fishing and enjoyed working on heavy equipment as a diesel mechanic.



Survivors include two sons Randy Wheat and Marty Wheat, both of Winter Haven, Fl.; four sisters, Frances Owens of Cedartown, Bessie Ruth Best of Calhoun, Carolyn Rhoden of Rome, and Charlotte Lindsey of Armuchee; four brothers, Jimmy Wheat of Rome, Charlie Wheat of Calhoun, Frank Wheat of Rome, and Wesley Wheat of Cedar Bluff, Al; his grandchildren, Branden, Kalle, and Chacea Wheat, and numerous nieces and nephews.



Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Oak Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Donald Lindsey officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. graveside.
