Hansel Fuqua, 56, of Cartersville passed away Thursday, November 05, 2009 at his residence. Born September 12, 1953 in Bartow County, he was the son of the late William D. Fuqua and the late Nannie Elizabeth Smith Fuqua. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Sexton.
Hansel was employed by the Bartow County Road Department. He loved hunting and being outdoors, but most of all he loved his family.
Survivors include his son, Adam Doyle Fuqua of Adairsville; the mother of his son, Wanda Wehunt; his siblings, Bob Fuqua of Ft. Worth, Texas, Kay Colum and her husband, Doug, of White, Fay Barnett of Cartersville, Daniel Fuqua and his wife, Phyllis, of Cartersville, Valenda Bailey of Cartersville, Blanche Tew and her husband, Lowell, of Albertville, Alabama and Wayne Fuqua and his wife, Donna, of Cartersville; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Wayne Fuqua officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:15 a.m. and will include Harvey Templeton, Adam Fuqua, Dewayne Fuqua, Gary Barnett, Kenneth Collum, and Jimmy Collum.
The family will receive friends from 5 � 8 p.m., Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
