Harold "Jack" Jackson

Harold "Jack" Walter Jackson, 95, of Cartersville, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at his residence at Tiger Lily Estates.

Born on March 18, 1928, in Laurel, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Walter Thomas Jackson and Velma Craft Jackson. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Margaret Jackson.

Jack is survived by his sisters- in- laws Emma Jo Stocks and Dot Shipley and a number of nieces and nephews.

Jack graduated from Model High School in Rome, Georgia in 1948 and he received his law degree from John Marshall University in 1961. He proudly served in the Coast Guard for two years. He retired from Lockheed, where he worked from 1953- 1990. After retirement he sold real estate. He was also a member of the lions Club. Jack loved the Lord and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

The Family would like to give a special thanks to Trinity Hospice, especially to Sarah and Jessica, Brenda Robinson and her care givers, and the helpers at Tiger Lily Estates. You all took such good care of Jack.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, in the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Cowart officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
