Harold Pruitt, Sr.

Mr. Harold G. Pruitt, Sr., 8l, of Cartersville, died Monday, April 30, 2012 at Townsend Health and Rehab. Born in Ducktown, Tennessee, March 8, 1931, he was the son of the late John G. Pruitt and the late Myrtle M. Weaver Pruitt. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife and mother of his children, LaVerne Pruitt; his brother, Hugh C. Pruitt; and a sister, Margaree �Babe� Franklin.



Survivors include his children, Harold G. �Buddy� Pruitt, Jr. and wife, Clara Diana, Sharon G. Pruitt, Diana L. Pittman and husband, Eddie, Katherine M. Purcell and Linda D. Pruitt; his grandchildren, Spencer Q. Headrick and Justin E. Purcell; his sister, Billie Sue Russell; and his brothers, Herbert A. and Herman E. Pruitt.



Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Dewey Baptist Church with Reverend E.C. Chatham officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.



There will be no visitation but a reception will be held at the church following the service.
