Harrison Leroy Fowler, 60, of Cartersville died Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Cartersville Medical Center. A native of Bartow County, he was born October 7, 1952 to the late Leonard Leroy Fowler and the late Elizabeth Ross Fowler.
Mr. Fowler loved his family, loved to fish and was an avid out doorsman. He was self-employed as a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Sheila Black Fowler of Cartersville; his daughters, Kelly Fowler of Rome and Mandy Leigh Fowler of Cartersville; his sons, Gunnery Sgt. Rockey L. Crump, Jr. and wife, Chrissy of Okinawa, Japan and Allen Head of Cartersville; his brother, Brian Fowler of Rydal; seven grandchildren, Kacey Fowler and wife, Katie of Rome, Kaitlyn and Trey Crump of Okinawa, Japan, Lexi Head of Rome, and Levi, Tyler and Zoey Fowler of Cartersville; his special friends, J.D. "Country" Wood and Robert Allen; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m., Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Mr. Fowler's remains will be cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Stamp Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Hufstetler officiating.
