Mr. Harry G. Breeden, 80, of Euharlee, died on Friday, March 18, 2016 at his residence. Born in Goldvein, VA on July 18, 1935 he was the son of the late George William Breeden and the late Olive Catherine Hewitt Breeden.
Mr. Breeden was a member of St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church. He served his country in the United States Army and Army Reserve. He retired from Genesco Company as a manager, with over 30 years in the men's clothing industry. He had a talent for leadership and was always helpful to others. He was known as "Mr. Fix It" for he could fix anything and enjoyed working in his yard. He was an Atlanta Braves and Washington Redskins fan. Harry was a great provider, husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and especially loved spoiling his wife, Judy. His friends and family referred to him as "The Southern Gentlemen". In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, David Breeden and a sister, Gertrude Sharp.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Judy Breeden of Euharlee; daughter, Aimee Winnenberg (John) of Euharlee; son, Steven Breeden of Fredericksburg, VA; grandchildren, Kaitlin Nicole Winnenberg and Harry Jacob Winnenberg; sister, Edna Edwards of Sumerduck, VA; sister-in-law, Joyce Breeden of Fredericksburg, VA; 3 fur babies, Smokey, Angel and Misty.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Father Juan Anzora officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
