Harry Jones, Jr.

Harry Lee Jones, Jr., 71, of Cartersville passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at his residence. Born September 20, 1939 in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Harry Lee Jones, Sr. and the late Sophie May Jones. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Willene Keller Jones; and his sisters, Florence Jackson, Helen Manley, and Janice Jones.



Harry was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. After his military service he was employed with General Motors for 28 years. Harry was also a member of Faith Baptist Church. He loved working in his yard, working on cars, and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren.



Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Cindy Jones of Woodstock; his daughters, Cissy (Tammy) Silvia of Acworth and Susan Jones of Cartersville; his brothers, Louis (Buddy) Rich, William Jones, and Michael Jones; his sisters, Patricia Marmon, Linda Glaze, Annette McAffee, and Ellen Quigley; and a host of nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Bill Creel and Rev. Michael Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Rolling Hills Memory Gardens in Acworth.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
