Harry Rudzinski

January 15, 1920 — March 30, 2014

Mr. Harry Joseph "Rudy" Rudzinski, 94, of Cartersville, died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Waldrop Personal Care Home.

Born January 15, 1920 in East Chicago, Indiana, he was the son of the late Anastazy Rudzinski and the late Mary Giertych Rudzinski. Mr. Rudzinski was a Christian who loved going to Church and was a member of Sam Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Mr. Rudzinski was a meat cutter and chef by trade. He was chef at the Stadium Club for the Atlanta Braves and Falcons at the Fulton County Stadium for several years. Rudy lived for his family and was extremely proud of his Polish Heritage. He was an avid golfer and loved his Chicago Cubs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters; and a grandson, Rick Wilson.

Survivors include his daughters, Marianne Wilson and her husband Chuck of Ooltewah, TN, Joan Bryans and her husband Mike of Cartersville, Eileen Goodman and her husband Danny of Griffin, and Evy Carver and her husband Bill of Canton; former wife and lifelong friend, Evelyn Rudzinski of Dallas, Georgia; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service which will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Dr. Chas R. Childers officiating. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that those who wish may make donations to The American Heart Association,1101 Northchase Pkwy. SE #1, Marietta, Georgia 30067, Heartland Hospice of Cartersville, 20 Collins Drive, Suite A, Cartersville, Georgia 30120, or to Sam Jones Memorial United Methodist Church, 100 W. Church Street, Cartersville, Georgia 30120 in memory of Mr. Rudzinski.
