Harvey Bagley

Harvey John Bagley, age 71 of Cartersville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday August 28, 2023. Harvey was born February 6, 1952, in Ringold, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Homer and Ada Bagley, his brother Johnny Bagley, and his beloved in-laws Buford and Pearl Elliott.

Harvey was affectionately called Pops by all those closest to him. He loved to piddle and especially loved to work on cars in his younger years. He loved to play his guitar, and he loved God and his family dearly, and was a very hard worker and always provided for his family. Harvey was a dedicated member of Central Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. He was employed by Shaw Industries for over 40 years.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Joyce Elliott Bagley; his adoring daughter Laura (Simon) Peace; grandsons Joshua Gabriel Peace, Jacob Christopher Peace, and Justin Alexander Peace; sister Betty Silvers; brother Bill Bagley; several nieces and two very special family members, Bre and Abby Hale, who he thought of as his grandchildren.

A funeral service to celebrate Harvey's life will be held Saturday September 2, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with the Reverend Chad Cox officiating. A burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday September 1, 2023, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Simon Peace, Jacob Peace, Justin Peace, Jeremy Peace, James Pate, and Elvin Pate. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Peace and David Sanders.
