Hazel Coleman

.Mrs. Hazel Christine Coleman, age 80, of 1915 Moreno Street, Oceanside, California, formerly of Rome and Lafayette, Georgia passed away at her home in California on Wednesday, June 30, 2004.Mrs. Coleman was born in Whitfield County, Georgia on March 9, 1924, the daughter of the late Ira Nelson Johnson and Rosa Nell Autry Johnson. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Coleman retired as a manager from Camp Pendleton after 30 years of working with the civil service mechanical department. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Coleman and by her son, Ross Allen Deck.Survivors include her brother, Otto Johnson of Athens, Georgia; daughter in-law, Matricia Deck of Summerville, GA; two grandchildren, Robert Kenneth Ivester and Ross Allen Deck both of Summerville; four great grandchildren, Brittany Renee Ivester, Ashley Nicole Deck, Christopher Heath Ivester and Zachary Hunter Ivester.Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 8th at 1:00 pm at the Oaknoll Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Mr. J. Parnick Jennings, Sr. officiating.
