Hazel Grinnell

Mrs. Hazel M. Grinnell, age 89, of Rock Hill, S.C. formerly of Rome, GA died Monday, May 4, 2009 in Rock Hill, South Carolina.



Mrs. Grinnell was born in Pickens County, GA, on May 5, 1919, the daughter of the late Oscar Medlin and Leola Anderson Medlin. Mrs. Grinnell was retired from Champion Garment Company. In addition to her parents Mrs. Grinnell was preceded in death by her husband, Ira M. Grinnell, August 27, 1991.



Survivors include her daughters Martha West of Delaware, Ohio and Linda Bailey of Rock Hill, South Carolina; grandchildren, Kevin Hamilton of Mechanicsville, VA, Johnette Smiley of Delaware, Ohio, Michelle Mason of Blacklick, Ohio, Kathy Price of Hilliard, Ohio and Kim Tackett of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Frank Medlin of Jasper, GA; sisters, Dale Lowe of Rome, GA and Jeanette Lawson of Jasper, GA; nine great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.



Graveside and interment services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 2 P.M. in East View Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn Clonts officiating.



The family will receive friends Friday, May 8, 2009 from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings & Miller Funeral Home.
