Hazel Underwood

Mrs. Hazel Sligh Underwood, 65, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, August 03, 2010 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Bartow County, February 13, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Howard Sligh and the late Lesslene Shepherd Sligh Thacker. Before retirement Mrs. Underwood was employed by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Frank Sligh.



Hazel is survived by her husband, Jackie Joe Underwood; her son and daughter-in-law, Joey Dwayne and Jennifer Hale Underwood; her grandchildren, Sydney Sarah-Grace Underwood and Jakob Zackery Underwood; and her step-father, W. T. Thacker.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Church of God Cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 5 � 9 p.m., Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
