Herman Martin

Mr. Herman Andrew Martin, 86, of Cartersville died Tuesday, August 09, 2011 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Marietta, January 14, 1925, he was the son of the late Dewey Roster Martin and the late Gertie Smith Martin. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Edith Ellie Tucker Martin; three sisters; and one brother.

Herman was a member of Creekside Fellowship Church and was retired from Lockheed Martin. He was a Mason and enjoyed bird hunting.

He is survived by his children, Linda Chance and husband Lynn, and Steve Martin and wife Lisa; his grandchildren, Kelly and Chastity Chance, Autumn Chance, Adam and Pam Chance, Josh and Allison Martin, Stephanie and Mitch O�Neal and Maddie Shepherd; eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Inez Highfield; his brothers, Boyd, Billy, Leon and Michael Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Creekside Fellowship Church with Pastor Michael Abernathy presiding. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens in Rome.

The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.

Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. and will include: Kelly and Adam Chance, Josh Martin, Mitch O�Neal, Darren Martin and Jarrett Martin. The Euharlee Masons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville is in charge for the arrangements of Mr. Herman Andrew Martin.
