Herman Revere Smith, 67, of Cartersville, passed away on November 23, 2022.
Born on August 6, 1955, in Douglas, Georgia, he is the son of the late Amos Benjamin Smith and the late Jeanette Williams Smith. He is also preceded in death by his three brothers, Hilton Smith, Larry Smith, and Carlton Smith; a sister, Patsy Smith; nephew, James Smith; cousin, Marelle Lewis; and several aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
Herman is survived by his aunt, Mary Lou Schroeder; his cousin, John (Barbara) Schroeder; and several cousins and nephews.
Herman was an avid lover for farming. He and his father, Amos, would plant and grow Gladiolus flowers every season. Herman also loved to dabble in mechanics and genealogy; he loved to learn about world history and the unique history that each family had.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Sunset Memory Gardens.
