Mr. Howard Byrd, 78, of Kingston died Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Starcrest of Cartersville. He was born in Rockmart, May 1, 1933, and was the son of the late Walter Byrd and the late Lela Mae Brown Byrd. He is predeceased by his parents; his wife, Frances Williams Byrd; and his son, Yogi Byrd.
Mr. Byrd was of the Baptist faith, loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and going to the mountains.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Brooks and Darlene Byrd, Frankie and Carol Byrd, Chuck and Kim Byrd and Walter and Sandra Byrd; his daughter and son-in-law, Robbie and Ronnie Blackmon; fifteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2011 in Mt. Tabor Church Cemetery with Rev. Rob Miller officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12 � 1 p.m. on Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
