Howard Stephens

Howard Lee Stephens, 87, of Cartersville, GA passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. He was born in Cartersville, GA on October 24, 1936 to the late Leroy Stephens and the late Elizabeth Whitener. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Jean Stephens; son, David Stephens; grandparents, Tom and Lily Beryl Stephens; grandson, Russell Carr; great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Carr; and son-in-law, Cliffton Carr.

Howard loved to watch westerns. He was a good marksman and enjoyed working as a security guard before retiring. He was part of special police during his security career. Howard adored his pet chihuahua, Sweetie. He loved to explore caves and collect rocks as well as practice wood working.

Survivors include his children, Imogen Carr and Mark Stephens; grandchildren, Chris Carr and Julie Stephens-Haase; great grandchildren, Ashley Hale, Niveah Wilcox, Mckenzie Carr, Josh Carr, Jackson Carr, Skyle Cole-Carr, Kaylee Hale, Emily Hale, Camden Hale, Cassia Haase, Ellianna Haase, and Angela Carr; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will be having a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Sunset Memory Gardens.
