Imogene Echols

Mrs. Imogene Rochester Echols, age 81, of Silver Creek, GA, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in a local hospital.



Mrs. Echols was born in Key, AL on March 4, 1928, the daughter of the late Lon Rochester and Laura Rochester. She retired from Integrated Products and was a member of Unity Baptist Church. In addition to her parents Mrs. Echols was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Echols; a daughter, Conita Fuller; two sons, Jerry Stephens, and Tony Stephens; two sisters, Nellie Greer and Beatrice Ingram; and five brothers, Toliver Rochester, Oliver Rochester, Herman Rochester, George Rochester, and Clyde Rochester.



Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Cathy Stephens of Silver Creek, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Walter Johnston of Silver Creek, GA; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 31, 2009, at 2:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Ingram and Rev. Vic Sullins officiating. Interment will follow in the Hebron Cemetery in Key, AL.



The family will receive friends Friday from noon until the funeral hour in the Heritage Chapel.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Heritage Chapel by 1:30 P.M. on Friday: Jeremy Moulton, Matthew Jacks, Leroy Rochester, Sammy Rochester, Herman Rochester, Fred Rochester, Phill Rochester, and Danny Rochester.
