Ina Jones

Mrs. Ina Mae Morelock Jones, age 79, of Rome, GA died Friday, December 4, 2009, in a local hospital.



Mrs. Jones was born in Cherokee County, AL on June 4, 1930, the daughter of the late William Edward Morelock and Lizzie Brock Morelock. She was a member of Shorter Avenue Baptist Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Jones, Jr.



Survivors include two sons, Fred Jones, III of Tallahassee, FL and Tony Jones of Rome, GA; three daughters, Carolyn Carlton of Crandall, GA, Linda McLemore of Woodstock, GA, and Cynthia Perez of Rome, GA; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Lionell Morelock of Marietta, GA; and two sisters, Vernette Smith of Fort Payne, AL, and Polly Campbell of Fort Payne, AL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, December 7, 2009, at 1:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Skelton officiating. Interment will be held private.



The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Oaknoll Chapel by 12:30 P.M. on Monday: Brent Jones, Jason Jones, Mitch McLemore, Steven Grisham, Jerry McLemore, and Travis Smith.
