Inez Bishop

Mrs. Inez Adams Bishop, of Rome, GA, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009, in a local hospital.



Mrs. Bishop was born in Hawkinsville, GA, on February 6, 1921, the daughter of the late James Bernard Adams and Pearl Hight Adams. She lived most of her life in Rome, GA and retired from Northwest Regional Hospital. Mrs. Bishop was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Bishop and brothers and sisters, Estelle Coker, Mamie Shackelford, Dorothy Dillard, Ben Adams, Marshall Adams, Robert Adams, and Johnny Adams.



Survivors include her children, Wilson Leroy Bishop or Rome, Brenda Irene Love (Bill) of Rome, and Joyce Berlene Young (Larry) of Rossville, GA; grandchildren, Wayne Green, Mark Green, Charlene Chapman, Vincent Love and Kim Love Googe; great-grandchilden, Shelby Irene Googe, Brooke Danielle Holt and Darren Z. Holt; and brothers and sisters, Charlie Dillard Adams of Centre, AL, Rev. George Adams of Rome, J.B. Adams of Columbus, GA, Dolly Carden of Rome and Irene Skinner of Conyers, GA.



Funeral services will be held Friday, February 13, 2009, at 2:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, and Miller Funeral Home with Rev. George Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.



The family will receive Thursday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, and Miller Funeral Home by 1:30 P.M. on Friday: Mark Green, Darren Holt, Vincent Love, Bev Bevis, Grant Bevis, and Mike Adams.
