Inez Mcfry

Mrs. Inez Tolbert McFry age 87, of Piedmont, AL, died Sunday, September 12, 2010, in a Rome hospital.



Mrs. McFry was born in Piedmont, AL, on April 8, 1923, the daughter of the late Joseph Daniel Tolbert and Ellie Lockridge Tolbert. She retired from K-mart and also was a beautician. Mrs. McFry and her husband was the oldest living couple at Liberty View Baptist Church in Lindale. She was an avid gardener of flowers and vegetables. Mrs. McFry made quilts for all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Also, she enjoyed cooking, camping, and fishing. In addition to her parents Mrs. McFry was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Tolbert and J.D. Tolbert; and a sister, Realzie McFry.



Survivors include her devoted husband of seventy years, Roy McFry of Piedmont, AL; three sons, Terry McFry of Rockmart, GA, Lamar McFry of Piedmont, AL, and Glenn McFry of Piedmont, AL; two daughters, Joan Tucker of Petulma, CA and Joyce Gaston of Rome, GA; grandchildren; Tommy Tucker, Victoria McDevitt, Katrina McLean, Jennifer Ware, Kellie Nicholson, Paige Huggins, Zane Nicholson, Dee Smith, and Erin Davenport; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Rev. Jimmy Tolbert, Louis Tolbert, and Dewell Tolbert; and three sisters, Rena Smith, Alice Hulsey, and Janice Claudell. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



Graveside and interment services will be held Thursday, September 16, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. in the Floyd Memory Gardens with Rev. Ladell Jacobs and Rev. Jimmy Tolbert officiating. Please meet at Heritage Chapel by 10:30 A.M. if going to the graveside service.



The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home.
