Irwin Parnes

Dr. Irwin �Doc� H. Parnes, 80, of Cartersville passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at his residence. Born October 24, 1930 in Bronx, New York he was the son of the late Leon Parnes and the late Yetta Glickman Parnes.



Irwin served his country in the United States Air Force and ran a successful dental practice in Cartersville. He was of the Jewish faith and loved dentistry, flying, and cars.



Survivors include his wife Linda Carlson Parnes, his sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Angie Parnes, and Gary and Joanna Parnes; his daughters and son-in-law, Michelle and Bob Ruth, and Bianca Parnes; his brother and sister-in-law, Sheldon and Susie Parnes; and twelve grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.



Graveside services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
